If you are a full-time
student of a higher educational institution of the I-IV levels of accreditation or a
pupil of a trade school, you are entitled to receive a 50% discount on the railway ticket.
Discount is provided when travelling in:- public and the 3rd class (platzcard) carriages;
- the 2nd and 3rd class carriages of all types of intercity trains;
- all carriages of local trains.
It should be mentioned that discount on travelling by carriages of higher categories such as wagon-lit, compartment, and the 1st class carriage (except for local trains) is not effective, and it is necessary to buy a full fare ticket.
To order a railway ticket with discount, you need to:
- Enter the data of the route and activate the search.
- Select the needed train and seat in a carriage.
- Choose “Student” in the field “Passenger Type”.
- Enter the series and number of your student or pupil ID card, first and last name in Ukrainian.
- Pay for the ticket.
Please be attentive when entering first and last name of a passenger – they have to be identical with the name in the student or pupil ID card.
When ordering a ticket, the system checks the entered data – first and last name, series and number of the document according the Unified State Electronic Database on Education. If you failed to enter correct data, you will not be able to book or buy a ticket.
The Ministry of Education recommends to check your details in
the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE). If you did not find yourself in the database, apply to the administration of your educational institution.
